Roulette Croupier - Roulette Dealer

The Croupier is a casino employee. In earlier times, the profession of Croupier (also called Dealer) was considered a dream job for men. The Croupier gives with his appearance and his social appearance, the face of the casino.

At a crowded roulette table are up to 4 Croupiers in work. They will then manage the following tasks:

  • Throwing the ball
  • Accepting the wagers
  • Pay out the winnings
  • Watching the players so there are no unfair rule violations

After throwing the ball, the Croupier gives the sign by which no further bets are accepted. This is done by the announcement rien ne va plus.

Croupiers must be good at mental arithmetic and need a high degree of social competence in dealing with the guests of the casino.

The names Croupier and Dealer are used synonymously.  The casino employees (dealers) will receive a portion of their income from the tips collected in the Tronc.
