A Dozen or Column covers 12 numbers and is therefore a bet on 12 numbers. In the event of a win, the player receives double the bet stake paid in addition to the original bet. In the event that zero falls, the casino wins all the bet stakes that reside on Dozens and Columns.
Dozens:
The roulette table layout consists of three Dozens.
The first Dozen covers all numbers between 1-12,
the second Dozen all between 13-24, and the third Dozen covers all numbers between 25-36.
Columns:
In the first Column are the numbers: 1, 4, 7, 10, 13, 16, 19, 22, 25, 28, 31, 34
In the second Column are the numbers: 2, 5, 8, 11, 14, 17, 20, 23, 26, 29, 32, 35
In the third Column are the numbers: 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, 27, 30, 33, 36
Generally, it makes no difference whether to place a bet of 1 piece on each of 12 Pleins or to place a bet of 12 pieces on a Dozen or Column. In both cases are winning percentage and payout ratio the same.
The payment amount for a hit on Dozen / Column is:
stake * 2 + stake
With a stake of 12 pieces ie:
12 * 2 + 12 = 36
| Name | Payout ratio | Probability | Bet example |
