About Blackjack Simulator

Blackjack, also known as 21, is one of the most popular card games worldwide. It is estimated that nearly one million hands of Blackjack are dealt in Las Vegas each day! Blackjack originated from the French game "Vingt-et-Un" in the 18th century and has since evolved into numerous variations played in casinos around the world.

Unlike pure luck-based casino games like roulette or slots, Blackjack is a game of both skill and chance. A player's decisions can have a direct impact on the house edge. Therefore, it is important to learn how to play correctly.

Our free Blackjack simulator lets you practice basic strategy, card counting concepts, and bankroll management without risking any real money. Play as many hands as you want, experiment with different strategies, and build your confidence before heading to a real casino.

How to Play Blackjack

The goal of Blackjack is simple: get a hand value closer to 21 than the dealer without going over. Number cards are worth their face value, face cards (Jack, Queen, King) are worth 10, and Aces can be worth 1 or 11. You start with two cards and can choose to "Hit" (take another card) or "Stand" (keep your current hand).

You can also "Double Down" (double your bet and take exactly one more card) or "Split" (if you have two cards of the same value, split them into two separate hands). Insurance is offered when the dealer shows an Ace. The dealer must hit on 16 and stand on 17.

Types of Blackjack

There are several popular Blackjack variants: Classic Blackjack, European Blackjack (dealer doesn't peek), Vegas Strip, Atlantic City, Spanish 21, and Blackjack Switch. Each has slightly different rules affecting the house edge. Our simulator uses Classic Blackjack rules, which are the most widely played.

Blackjack Strategy

Basic strategy is a mathematically optimal way to play every hand based on your cards and the dealer's upcard. Following basic strategy can reduce the house edge to as low as 0.5%. The key decisions: always split Aces and 8s, never split 10s or 5s, double down on 11 against dealer 2-10, and stand on 17 or higher.

Card counting is a strategy that tracks the ratio of high to low cards remaining in the deck. When the count is high (more high cards left), the player has an advantage. While card counting is legal, casinos can ask you to leave if they suspect you're counting.

Our simulator is the perfect place to practice both basic strategy and card counting without any pressure or financial risk.

Remember: even with perfect strategy, Blackjack still has a small house edge. Play for entertainment, not as a way to make money.

Play Responsibly

When playing for real, always play responsibly. Never play with more money than you can afford to lose.
